Our Story: The Evolution of Ferayd

2018 – The Beginning

Ferayd was founded in March 2018 in Shanghai, China, by Livia Li, a fashion designer frustrated by the lack of stylish and well-fitting plus-size options. Starting as an online-only boutique, we quickly gained a loyal following for our flattering cuts, bold prints, and attention to detail.

2019 – The Body Positivity Movement

In September 2019, we launched our first #FeraydConfidence campaign, featuring real women of all sizes as models. This initiative went viral, sparking conversations about inclusivity in fashion and earning over 1 million social media engagements.

2020 – Expanding Beyond Online

By December 2020, we opened our first physical store in Shanghai’s Jing’an District, offering personal styling sessions and custom-fit services. This marked a major step in creating a more immersive shopping experience for our customers.

2021 – Activewear for Every Body

Recognizing a gap in the market, we introduced Ferayd Active in June 2021—a plus-size activewear line designed for comfort, support, and style, whether at the gym or on a casual day out.

2022 – Building a Community

In April 2022, we launched the Ferayd Community, a platform where women could share styling tips, attend body-positive workshops, and connect with like-minded individuals.

2023 & Beyond – Going Global

Today, Ferayd ships worldwide, with a growing presence in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. We continue to innovate, advocate for size inclusivity, and push the fashion industry toward greater representation.
